FAQ
Q: What services do you offer?
A: We provide comprehensive evaluations and treatments for a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders across all life stages. Learn more about What We Treat and check out the Services page for more information about our therapy and evaluations.
Q: How long are sessions?
A: Typically, therapy sessions last between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the individualized care plan and the specific goals of the client. A typical 45 minute session is structured to allow us time to catch up and check in on skill development and maintenance of skills without reminders or cues, followed by intentional practice with specific strategies and interventions, and then review and discuss how to continue practicing between sessions.
Q: Do you offer teletherapy?
A: Yes, we offer virtual therapy services that provide the same high-quality care from the convenience and comfort of your own home or office.
Q: What is your methodology?
A: At Innovation Speech Therapy, we integrate clinical innovation with compassionate care to reach meaningful and lasting communication goals. We believe getting to know what motivates each person is key to making speech therapy relevant, individualized, and functional. In our warm and supportive environment we create a safe place to practice skills that are tricky or still developing with guidance and support.
Q: Why private pay?
A: Private-pay services allow for:
-
Highly individualized treatment without insurance limitations
-
Flexible scheduling
-
No therapy caps or visit limits
-
Increased collaboration and personalized care
This model ensures therapy decisions are based solely on clinical need — not insurance restrictions.
Q: What happens if we are sick at the time of a session?
A: We ask that you provide 24-hour cancellation notice. Please notify use as soon as possible in the event that someone at home has:
-
Fever within the past 24 hours
-
Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
-
Contagious illness (including strep throat, flu, COVID, etc.)
-
Active lice
When appropriate and clinically feasible, teletherapy may be offered as an alternative to avoid missed sessions.
Therapy is most effective when sessions are attended consistently and home practice is supported between visits. If attendance becomes inconsistent, we may discuss adjusting the therapy plan to ensure services remain appropriate and effective.
